Every Schedulera account is already an ambassador. There's no application and no approval: the moment you sign up, you have a personal link, and every person who joins through it earns you points. Those points are how you get paid, through a cash pool that's split among ambassadors every month.
This guide covers how the pool works, how points add up, and what actually grows your share. One expectation to set first: think of it as a bonus for helping people you know, not a salary. Your payout depends on the size of the month's pool and on how many points everyone else earns.
How the monthly cash pool works
- •Each calendar month (UTC), Schedulera sets aside a cash pool for ambassadors.
- •The pool is split in proportion to the points each ambassador earned that month. Earn 10% of the month's points and you get 10% of the pool.
- •Standings reset on the 1st. Your all-time total still counts toward your leaderboard rank, but only the current month's points count toward the current month's pool.
- •After the month ends, we review the points and email every ambassador with a share to arrange payment.
- •Points from fake, duplicate, or self-referred accounts don't count, so there's no shortcut around referring real people.
Your Ambassador page in the dashboard shows your points this month and your share of the pool so far, updated as your referrals move along.
How the points add up
Points arrive in three stages, and each one is worth more than the last.
| Stage | When it counts | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Signup | They create an account and verify their email | 500 |
| Setup | They finish onboarding: profile, a session type, availability, and a shareable link | 1,500 |
| Subscription | They start a paid AI or Company plan | 3,000 |
| Full referral | All three | 5,000 |
The math matters more than it looks. Finishing setup is worth three times a signup, and a subscription is worth six. Ten people who sign up and never finish setting up earn you 5,000 points, exactly what one person who goes all the way earns. So the best strategy isn't spraying your link everywhere. It's sending it to people who will actually use a booking page, then making sure they get one working.
Who to share your link with
The best referrals are people whose calendar is already their business. They feel the scheduling pain every week, so they finish setup because they need it, not because you asked. Think about who you know that books time with clients:
- •Personal trainers, yoga teachers, and coaches running sessions out of their DMs.
- •Music teachers, tutors, and driving instructors rescheduling lessons by text.
- •Tattoo artists, pet groomers, and stylists keeping bookings in a notes app.
- •Consultants and freelancers who still send "does Tuesday work?" emails. See scheduling software for consultants for what they get out of it.
- •Small teams sharing one calendar, who are the natural fit for a Company plan.
Someone who books one meeting a month probably won't finish setup. Someone who books twenty a week will, and is the person most likely to want AI scheduling or a team account later.
Share it where the problem comes up
A link dropped into a feed with no context mostly gets ignored. A link sent the moment someone complains about scheduling gets used. A few places that tend to work:
- •A direct message when a friend mentions a no-show or a double-booking. A personal note beats any announcement.
- •A reply in a community or group chat where someone asks what booking tool people use.
- •A short post about how you take bookings yourself, with your link at the end.
- •A line in your newsletter, if you write one, aimed at readers who run their own practice.
Be straight about what it is: Schedulera gives them a free booking page with all the scheduling features included, and paid plans add AI and team features. Overselling gets you signups who leave, and signups who leave stop at 500.
Use labeled links to see what works
In Promote you can create extra labeled links, one per channel, with optional UTM tags. Every one of them counts toward your points, and the labels tell you which channel actually brings people in. If your newsletter link brings signups that finish setup and your social post brings signups that don't, you know where to spend your effort.
Help them finish setup
This is where most of your points are, and it's the step people stall on. Your Ambassador page in the dashboard lists everyone you've referred and which stage they've reached, so you can see who signed up but hasn't finished. A short follow-up goes a long way:
- •Offer to walk them through it. Setup takes a few minutes, and creating a booking page covers every step if they'd rather do it alone.
- •Help them pick their first session type. Session types that convert has examples that work.
- •Remind them to connect their calendar so they never get double-booked.
- •Book a session with them through their new link. Their first real booking is when it clicks.
Done right, this isn't pestering anyone. You're helping a friend get a working booking page, and the points follow.
Timing matters too. Points land in the month each step happens, so a referral who signs up on the 28th and finishes setup on the 3rd splits their points across two pools. Helping someone finish the week they sign up keeps it all in one month.
When a subscription makes sense
The 3,000-point subscription reward comes when a referral starts a paid plan, and the only honest way to earn it is to send people who'd genuinely benefit. The AI plan ($9.95/month) adds the AI scheduling agent and other AI features. The Company plan ($29.95/month) adds team accounts on top of everything in AI. Someone drowning in booking emails, or a small team trying to share a calendar, is a natural fit. Someone with three clients is happy on the free plan, and that's fine: their setup still earns you 2,000 points.

Frequently asked questions
How do Schedulera ambassadors get paid?
Through the monthly cash pool. Each month's pool is split among ambassadors in proportion to the points they earned that month, and after the month ends we email everyone with a share to arrange payment. Points themselves aren't account credit.
How much can I make?
It depends on the size of that month's pool and your share of all the points ambassadors earned that month. Your dashboard shows your current share as the month goes on.
How many points is one referral worth?
Up to 5,000: 500 when they sign up and verify their email, 1,500 when they finish setting up their booking page, and 3,000 when they start a paid AI or Company plan.
Do I need to apply to become an ambassador?
No. Every Schedulera account is an ambassador from signup, with its own link in the dashboard under Ambassador.
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?
No. Every person who joins through any of your links earns you points.
